With the advent of more and more new technologies requiring high internet speeds and high quality connections more than ever, the choice between different types of internet connections has become all the more significant. It is hence required that we understand various options available to us and know their pros and cons before taking a decision on the type of connection to go for.
Some of the types of internet connections available today are:
1. Dial-Up or analog
2. Broadband DSL
3. Broadband wireless (WI-FI)
4. Broadband Cable
5. Satellite
We will look into each of these connection types in more detail in the subsequent sections of this course.
